Position: Junior Data Operations Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $133000 - $160000

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Operations Engineer to join our growing team. As a member of our Data Operations team, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and security of our data. You will work closely with our Data Engineers and Data Analysts to ensure the smooth functioning of our data processes and systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to design, implement and maintain data models and databases.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts to understand data requirements and support data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and maintain data quality checks and perform data quality audits.
• Implement data security protocols and ensure data privacy compliance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data processes and systems.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a data-related role, such as Data Operations, Data Engineering, or Data Analysis.
• Strong understanding of data concepts and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with SQL and scripting languages, such as Python or Shell.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, is a plus.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
