Job Description: We are looking for a Junior API Documentation Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our technical writing team, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining API documentation for our suite of products. You will work closely with our development team to ensure that our API documentation accurately reflects the functionality of our products and meets the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team to understand the technical aspects of our products and APIs
• Create comprehensive API documentation that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical users
• Update and maintain existing API documentation to reflect changes in product functionality
• Ensure that API documentation adheres to company style and branding guidelines
• Conduct regular audits of API documentation to identify and address any gaps or inconsistencies
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and incorporate it into API documentation
• Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in API documentation to continuously improve our processes and standards
• Assist with other technical writing tasks, such as user guides and release notes, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in technical writing, preferably with API documentation
• Strong understanding of API concepts and experience with API documentation tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with software development processes and terminology
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, is a plus
• Knowledge of markup languages, such as Markdown or HTML, is a plus
