Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Game Developer to join our team. As the Principal Game Developer, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of game developers to create innovative and engaging games for our players. You will play a critical role in the development and success of our games, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and are delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of game developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful creation and delivery of high-quality games.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including game designers, artists, and programmers to develop game concepts and bring them to life.
• Design and implement game mechanics, systems, and features that enhance gameplay and create a captivating experience for players.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including game design documents, coding standards, and best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in game development, and incorporate them into our games to keep them fresh and competitive.
• Work closely with the project manager to define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and ensure they are met.
• Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and suggest improvements to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues, and provide solutions to optimize game performance.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in game development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of game engines, such as Unity or Unreal, and game development tools and technologies.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C++, C#, and/or Java.
• Experience in mobile game development and publishing is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality games on schedule.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for gaming and staying updated on industry trends and advancements.
