Salary: $228000 - $256000

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Virtualization Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our virtualization infrastructure. You will lead a team of virtualization engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our virtualization environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization technologies, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain our virtualization infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network components.
• Lead a team of virtualization engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define virtualization requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
• Monitor and analyze virtualization performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Develop and maintain virtualization policies, procedures, and standards.
• Evaluate new virtualization technologies and make recommendations for their implementation to improve performance and efficiency.
• Participate in the planning and execution of virtualization-related projects.
• Maintain documentation of virtualization infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex virtualization issues in a timely manner.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to our virtualization environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in virtualization engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and XenServer.
• Strong understanding of server, storage, and network technologies.
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Certifications in virtualization technologies are a plus.
