Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design API solutions that meet those requirements
Develop APIs using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
Test and debug APIs to ensure they function correctly and meet performance benchmarks
Continuously monitor and improve API performance and reliability
Work with third-party APIs and integrate them into our systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with APIs in a timely manner
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in API development to suggest and implement improvements
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Document API development processes and procedures for future reference
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs into our systems
Assist in the development of technical specifications and user documentation for APIs
Contribute to the overall software development process and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and productivity

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
1-2 years of experience in API development or software development
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Ruby
Experience with RESTful API design and development
Understanding of API security standards and best practices
Working knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
Familiarity with web services and API integration
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for learning and staying updated with new technologies and industry trends
