Job Title: Senior Security Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $107 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security protocols and strategies to protect our company's assets and information. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, risk management, incident response, and be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to protect company assets and information.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats and take appropriate action.
• Lead incident response efforts and provide guidance to junior security team members.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats.
• Train and educate team members on security best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security operations, risk management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption.
• Experience with security incident response and mitigation.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred.

Working Conditions: This position is based in our company's headquarters and will require occasional travel to other locations. The Senior Security Specialist may be required to work outside of regular business hours to manage security incidents or attend training and conferences.
