About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Database Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's databases. You will work closely with our software development team to ensure the efficient and effective performance of our database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, with a focus on data modeling, optimization, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance databases for our company's applications and systems
• Work closely with the software development team to understand and analyze their data requirements
• Develop and implement efficient and effective database solutions that meet the business needs
• Perform data modeling and database design to ensure high data quality, accuracy, and security
• Optimize database performance by monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and entity-relationship models
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems
• Identify and implement new database technologies and tools to improve database performance and scalability
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database development and management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in database development and management
• Proven experience with relational database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
• Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling techniques
• Experience with database performance optimization and tuning
• Proficient in SQL programming and stored procedures
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality
