About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application security, with a focus on developing and implementing effective security solutions for our company's applications. As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's data and ensuring the security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of application security strategies and solutions that align with our company's security policies and standards.
• Conduct thorough security assessments of our applications, identifying vulnerabilities and providing recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Develop and maintain security standards and guidelines for application development, ensuring that all new applications are built with security in mind.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and events to identify potential threats and mitigate risks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively identify potential risks to our applications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on application security, providing guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in incident response and remediation efforts in the event of a security breach.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the state of application security, including any identified risks and ongoing initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security, with a proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions.
• Strong understanding of secure coding principles and practices.
• Experience performing security assessments and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as OWASP, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CSSLP are a plus.
