Introduction: Lobox is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Big Data Specialist to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Big Data Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and leading our team of Big Data Specialists to design, implement, and maintain our data infrastructure. You will play a critical role in driving our company's success by leveraging your expertise in Big Data technologies and delivering innovative solutions to meet our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Big Data Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely completion of projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysts, to identify and understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design, develop and maintain Big Data solutions, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses, using cutting-edge technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
• Develop data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, accuracy, and security
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance our data infrastructure and drive innovation
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and processes to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks
• Mentor and train team members to enhance their technical skills and ensure the team's overall growth and development
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Big Data technologies and share knowledge with the team and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of years of experience in a Big Data role, with at least years in a leadership/supervisory position
• Strong expertise in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling
• In-depth understanding of data governance principles and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus
