Lobox is seeking a highly skilled Principal Database Migration Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a leader in the technology industry, we are continuously looking for talented individuals who can bring their expertise and passion to the table. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in database migration and a proven track record of successful project delivery.

The Principal Database Migration Specialist will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of database migration projects for our clients. This includes understanding client requirements, designing and implementing migration strategies, and providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of projects within budget and meeting all quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage database migration projects from initiation to completion
• Develop and implement database migration strategies based on client requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new databases
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct comprehensive testing and troubleshooting to ensure data integrity and accuracy post-migration
• Identify and resolve any issues or roadblocks that may arise during the migration process
• Develop and maintain project documentation and reports for clients and internal stakeholders
• Communicate project progress and updates to clients and stakeholders on a regular basis
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting all quality standards
• Continuously monitor and evaluate project processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database migration techniques to provide the best solutions to clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor���s or Master���s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in database migration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of database concepts and technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
• Proven experience in developing and implementing database migration strategies
• Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Experience with cloud-based databases and migration is a plus
• Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional) are preferred
