Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal IT Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Principal IT Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our IT department, ensuring that all systems and processes are running smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the IT team to develop and implement strategies to improve overall operational efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate for this role is a natural leader with excellent technical knowledge and a strong background in IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including managing a team of IT professionals
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitor and maintain the performance of all IT systems and processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and best practices
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement new technology solutions to support business objectives
• Develop and maintain documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements are being met
• Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve IT operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong technical knowledge and experience with various IT systems and processes
• Proven track record of successfully managing a team and driving operational improvements
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools
• Certifications in relevant areas such as ITIL, PMP, or Six Sigma are a plus.
