Job Title: Principal Cyber Threat Analyst

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cyber Threat Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing potential cyber threats, and developing strategies to protect our organization from cyber attacks. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the current threat landscape and possess the technical expertise to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threats to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Utilize various tools and techniques to monitor and track potential cyber attacks.
• Develop and implement threat intelligence strategies to proactively protect the organization from cyber threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of cyber incidents and develop response plans.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and tools related to cyber security.
• Lead and mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day tasks.
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Conduct regular assessments of the organization's security posture and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cyber security role, with at least 3 years in a threat intelligence or threat analysis position.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, tools, and techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of threat intelligence platforms, and experience with SIEM and other security tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience with incident response and handling cyber incidents.
• Familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
