Job Title: Principal Network Security Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a Principal Network Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure. You will play a critical role in protecting our company's network and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network and data.
• Design and deploy network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security risks.
• Monitor network traffic and security logs to detect and respond to any security incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security best practices are followed in all aspects of network and system design and implementation.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities and recommend necessary changes to our network security infrastructure.
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Develop and maintain network security documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on designing and implementing security solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
• Hands-on experience with network security tools and technologies.
• Experience with network security protocols and standards.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and design principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent are a plus.
