Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Deployment Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Software Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the deployment of software applications and updates across multiple environments. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing deployment processes, and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our software deployment procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the deployment of software applications and updates across various environments, including development, testing, and production.
• Develop and maintain deployment plans and procedures, ensuring that all deployments are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure smooth and timely deployment of software releases.
• Continuously analyze and evaluate deployment processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, working closely with the development team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and track deployment metrics and performance, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior deployment engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in deployment tools and technologies, and make recommendations for their implementation within the organization.
• Act as a subject matter expert for software deployment procedures, providing training and support to other teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Software Deployment Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and version control systems.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with deployment tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
