Position Title: Principal Edge Computing Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Edge Computing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Edge Computing Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of edge computing solutions for our organization. This is a key leadership role that requires a deep understanding of edge computing technologies, as well as the ability to provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of edge computing solutions, including the design, testing, and deployment of edge computing infrastructure.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to our team on edge computing technologies, including hardware, software, and networking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs and requirements for edge computing solutions.
• Develop and maintain standards, policies, and procedures for the management and maintenance of edge computing infrastructure.
• Monitor and analyze edge computing performance, identifying and addressing any issues or inefficiencies.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in edge computing, and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies into our solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert on edge computing, providing training and support to team members across the organization.
• Work closely with vendors and external partners to evaluate and select edge computing solutions that align with our business needs.
• Lead the implementation of security protocols and measures to protect edge computing infrastructure and data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in edge computing, with a proven track record of designing and implementing successful edge computing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of edge computing technologies, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and how it integrates with edge computing solutions.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proven project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical issues.
• Experience working in an agile development environment is preferred.
• Professional certifications in edge computing or related fields are a plus.
