Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop data platform architecture that meets business requirements and supports data integration, storage, and processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers, to understand business needs and design data solutions accordingly.
Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data platform.
Optimize data storage and processing techniques to improve performance and reduce costs.
Monitor and troubleshoot data platform issues and provide timely resolutions.
Conduct regular data platform performance and security audits and implement necessary improvements.
Stay updated with the latest data management technologies and industry trends and recommend solutions to enhance the data platform.
Mentor and guide junior data engineers in the team and provide technical leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
Strong experience in designing and developing data platforms using cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience in data governance, data quality, and data security.
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
