About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Reliability Engineer to join our growing team. As a Data Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our data systems. You will work closely with our data engineering and data science teams to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to support the company���s data needs
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data quality and consistency
- Develop and implement data quality checks to identify and resolve any issues
- Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability
- Conduct regular data audits to identify and resolve any data integrity issues
- Create and maintain documentation for data systems and processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and reliability
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical data systems
- Train and mentor junior team members on data engineering and reliability best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor���s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related role
- Strong experience with data pipeline development and management
- Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.)
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling
- Knowledge of data quality and data governance principles
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
