Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of data engineers who are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and implement data engineering strategies, processes, and best practices to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand data needs and requirements.
• Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Maintain and enhance our data warehouse, data models, and data dictionaries to support business reporting and analytics needs.
• Stay updated with the latest data engineering tools and technologies, and evaluate and implement them as needed.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of data engineering processes and identify areas of improvement.
• Partner with the IT team to ensure the security, compliance, and governance of our data infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong technical skills in data engineering, including ETL processes, data warehousing, data modeling, and SQL.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
