Salary: $152000 - $192000
Are you an experienced and passionate API Specialist looking for a new challenge? Do you have a strong understanding of web service technologies and a knack for problem-solving? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an API Specialist.
As an API Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our company's API infrastructure. Your main goal will be to ensure seamless communication between our internal systems and external partners, as well as providing support for our clients and resolving any API-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust APIs that can handle high volumes of data and transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design API solutions.
- Implement APIs using best practices and industry standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot API performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Analyze and optimize API workflows for improved efficiency.
- Maintain documentation for APIs, including specifications, user guides, and release notes.
- Provide technical support to clients and partners using our APIs.
- Continuously research and stay updated on new API technologies and industry trends.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure API security and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in API development and integration.
- Extensive knowledge of web service technologies, such as REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API design and documentation tools, such as Swagger or Postman.
- Understanding of cloud computing and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality and scalable API solutions.
