Job Title: Application Manager
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $171000 - $208000
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Application Manager to join our growing team. The Application Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of all software applications used within the organization. This role requires a strong background in software development, project management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire application development life cycle, from conception to deployment
- Lead a team of developers and ensure timely and successful completion of projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and scope
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Ensure the use of best practices and industry standards in software development
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of application development
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback to the development team
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and manage vendor contracts
- Act as a liaison between the development team and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve the organization's application landscape
- Provide regular progress reports to upper management and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and project management
- Proven experience in leading a team of developers and delivering successful projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
- In-depth knowledge of software development tools and languages, such as Java, C++, Python, etc.
- Experience with database management and SQL
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus
