Position: System Monitoring Engineer

Salary: $97 Per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the performance and availability of all systems and applications, including servers, networks, and databases
• Utilize various monitoring tools and techniques to proactively identify and troubleshoot issues
• Develop and implement monitoring strategies to ensure optimal system performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system issues and provide recommendations for improvement
• Create and maintain system monitoring documentation and procedures
• Perform regular system audits and generate reports to identify trends and potential issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends related to system monitoring
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to any system emergencies outside of business hours
• Continuously identify opportunities for automation and optimization to improve system monitoring processes and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in system monitoring and troubleshooting complex systems
• Strong knowledge of various monitoring tools, such as Nagios, SolarWinds, and Zabbix
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, or Perl
• Familiarity with database management and SQL queries
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
• Certifications in system monitoring and IT infrastructure, such as ITIL or CompTIA, are a plus
