Position: Data Platform Lead

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $115 Per hour

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Platform Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Data Platform Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and optimization of our company's data platform. This role requires a strong understanding of data management, database architecture, and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers and analysts to ensure the successful functioning of the data platform
• Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of our company's data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
• Design and maintain data architecture, including database structures, data pipelines, and ETL processes
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the data platform, including data ingestion, storage, and retrieval
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and integrity
• Implement data security protocols to protect sensitive information
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management and analytics to continuously improve the data platform
• Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on data-related matters
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and present insights and findings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data management, database architecture, or data analytics
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
• Advanced knowledge of database management systems, such as SQL and NoSQL
• Proven experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure
• Proficient in data visualization and analytics tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large and complex datasets
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
