Job Title: IT Automation Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $100 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an IT Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining automated solutions for our IT infrastructure. Your main focus will be to improve efficiency, reduce costs and ensure the reliability of our IT systems through automation. You will work closely with our IT team to identify areas for automation and develop customized solutions that meet our business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for various IT processes, including server configurations, software deployments, and network configurations
• Design and implement automation workflows using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual work
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation processes
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of automation systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and tools and make recommendations for their integration into our infrastructure
• Document all automation processes and procedures for future reference
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory guidelines in all automation processes
• Participate in on-call rotation to address any automation-related issues or emergencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT automation, preferably in a large-scale environment
• Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Solid understanding of network and server infrastructure
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS or Azure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
