Position: AI Research Lead
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $228000 - $256000
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of AI researchers to develop cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies and solutions
- Conduct research and feasibility studies to identify potential areas of improvement and innovation in AI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into AI projects
- Design and implement experiments to test the effectiveness and performance of AI algorithms and models
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in the field of AI and incorporate them into research projects
- Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge in AI
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely delivery of high-quality AI solutions
- Communicate research findings and progress to stakeholders and present recommendations for implementation
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, universities, and industry experts to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and challenges in research projects and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI research and development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and natural language processing techniques
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and Java
- Experience with big data tools and technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex AI projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively to drive AI research initiatives
- Passion for staying updated with the latest advancements in AI and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve
