Responsibilities:

Collaborate with department managers to gather and analyze financial data for budgeting purposes
Review budget proposals and recommend necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and feasibility
Monitor and track budget expenditures to ensure compliance with established guidelines and regulations
Develop and maintain budgeting templates and tools to streamline the budgeting process
Prepare and present budget reports to management, highlighting any discrepancies or areas of concern
Conduct research and analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to management
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely budget forecasting
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact budgeting processes
Participate in budget planning meetings and provide insights and recommendations to improve budget allocation and management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Proven experience as a Budget Analyst or in a similar role
Strong understanding of financial principles and budgeting processes
Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and budgeting software
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data
Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge of government budgeting regulations and procedures is a plus
