Salary: $138 Per hour

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Security Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Application Security Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive application security program to protect our organization's critical systems and data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our applications. This role requires a strong understanding of application security principles, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of security professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an application security strategy and roadmap in alignment with our organization's overall security objectives.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of applications, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation actions.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Monitor and track security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards related to application security.
• Work with third-party vendors to assess and manage risks associated with externally developed applications.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in application security, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Lead and mentor a team of application security analysts, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, to raise awareness about application security and promote a culture of security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of application security principles, including secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
• Experience with security tools such as static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and vulnerability scanners.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or CISM are a plus.
