Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement and maintain the organization's big data infrastructure
Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to data storage, performance, and security
Plan and execute data backup and disaster recovery strategies
Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ensure data pipelines are optimized and efficient
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
Stay up-to-date with emerging big data technologies and make recommendations on new tools and techniques
Train and mentor junior team members on data management best practices
Communicate with various stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide timely solutions
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
Ensure data compliance with regulatory standards and privacy laws

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
Experience with data warehousing and data integration tools
Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus
