Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's data infrastructure. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to ensure the seamless integration and utilization of our data for business insights and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and efficient data pipelines to process, store, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs
• Create and maintain data models and schemas to ensure data consistency and accuracy
• Optimize data infrastructure for maximum speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
• Perform data quality checks and implement data governance processes
• Monitor and maintain data security and privacy standards
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in big data and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to our data infrastructure
• Mentor and guide junior team members in data engineering best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on big data
• Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases
• In-depth understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes
• Proficiency in data warehousing and data integration techniques
• Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
