Position Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Position Type: Contract, permanent

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and infrastructure management, with a deep understanding of various cloud platforms and technologies. As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions to support our company's applications and services.
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure issues and implement improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for their adoption.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all cloud infrastructure systems and processes.
• Implement security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure against cyber threats.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
• Work with third-party vendors to procure and manage cloud services.
• Train and mentor team members on cloud infrastructure best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• In-depth knowledge of networking and security protocols and best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Certifications in cloud computing (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
