Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $190000 - $240000
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of network and system architecture, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of new infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and storage solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of our infrastructure systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to our infrastructure, including network connectivity, server and storage failures, and software malfunctions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system and process improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure our infrastructure is in line with best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the IT team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of network and system architecture, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Proficient in scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
