Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Salary: $84 Per hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting a variety of laboratory tests and procedures on patient samples such as blood, urine, and body fluids.
• Analyzing test results and ensuring accuracy and precision in reporting.
• Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may arise during testing.
• Maintaining accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and make appropriate clinical decisions.
• Keeping up-to-date with advances in laboratory technology and techniques.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Participating in quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Training and supervising laboratory assistants and other personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a recognized accrediting agency.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, equipment, and techniques.
• Proficient in using laboratory information systems and other computer programs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions: The Medical Laboratory Scientist will work in a laboratory setting, often under time constraints and with a high volume of samples. This role may require standing or sitting for extended periods, as well as the use of protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
