Position Title: Cloud Backup Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Backup Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Backup Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's cloud backup systems and processes. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the security and availability of our company's data by implementing effective backup strategies and disaster recovery plans. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of cloud backup technologies and a proven track record of implementing and managing successful backup solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain cloud backup systems to ensure the availability and security of company's data
• Develop and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to minimize the risk of data loss
• Monitor and troubleshoot backup systems to identify and resolve any issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure backup systems align with business needs and objectives
• Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve backup processes and efficiency
• Conduct regular testing of backup systems and disaster recovery plans to ensure effectiveness and make necessary improvements
• Document backup procedures and protocols for reference and training purposes
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to cloud backup and disaster recovery

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud backup systems management
• Strong understanding of cloud backup technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Administrator, etc.) are a plus
