About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled IT Release Manager to join our dynamic team. As an IT Release Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software releases, ensuring the smooth and timely deployment of applications into production environments. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including development teams, quality assurance teams, project managers, and business leaders, to ensure successful release management processes and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the release planning and coordination process, including identifying release scope, dependencies, risks, and timelines
• Develop and maintain release management policies, procedures, and standards
• Ensure adherence to change management processes and controls
• Collaborate with development teams to understand release requirements and ensure proper testing and validation
• Manage the release calendar and ensure timely and accurate communication of release schedules and changes to stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact successful release delivery
• Coordinate deployment activities across multiple environments, including production, pre-production, and testing environments
• Monitor and report on the status of releases, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
• Plan and execute post-release activities, including gathering feedback and identifying areas for improvement
• Continuously improve release management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in release management and make recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT release management, preferably in a software development environment
• Excellent project management and coordination skills
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle and release management processes
• Experience with release management tools and automation
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
• ITIL certification is a plus
