Job Title: Cloud Data Migration Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $115 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Migration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for migrating data from on-premises systems to cloud-based solutions. You will work closely with our clients to understand their data migration needs and design and implement efficient and effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, data migration, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their data migration requirements and develop a comprehensive migration plan.
• Design and implement data migration solutions utilizing cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain data migration scripts and tools to automate the migration process.
• Conduct data mapping and transformation to ensure data integrity during the migration process.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data migration processes to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, database administrators, and project managers, to ensure successful data migration.
• Document all aspects of the data migration process, including requirements, design, implementation, and testing.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data migration processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and data migration techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data migration, preferably in a cloud environment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation, and ETL tools.
• Proficient in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with project management and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
