Position: Data Center Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $92 Per hour

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team. As a Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data center infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our data center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies
• Monitor and maintain data center operations, including server and network performance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of new applications and technologies into the data center environment
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for data center operations
• Conduct regular audits and performance tests to identify and address any potential issues
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and optimize data center operations
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations and infrastructure design
• Strong knowledge of server, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies
• Experience with data center management tools and systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, MCSE, VCP) are a plus
