Position: Hadoop Developer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $100 Per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Hadoop Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Hadoop Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Hadoop-based applications. This role requires a deep understanding of Hadoop architecture, data structures, and algorithms, as well as strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Hadoop-based applications, including ingestion, transformation, and analysis of large datasets
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing and storage
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Hadoop clusters, ensuring high availability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Hadoop applications with other systems and tools
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Hadoop technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hadoop Developer or a similar role
• Proven experience designing and developing Hadoop-based applications and data pipelines
• Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
• Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, etc.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools such as Redshift or Snowflake
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Certification in Hadoop or related technologies
