Salary: $171000 - $208000

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scala Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Scala Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our high-performance, scalable, and cutting-edge applications. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional code. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology and a proven track record of delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Scala code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and optimize high-performance, scalable, and distributed applications
• Write automated tests to ensure the quality and stability of the codebase
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Scala development
• Actively participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Continuously improve and optimize existing code for better performance and maintainability
• Mentor and guide junior developers on best practices and coding standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Scala development
• Strong understanding of functional programming concepts and design patterns
• Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or other Scala-based frameworks
• Proficient in working with databases, such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Familiarity with build tools, such as SBT or Maven
• Experience with writing and maintaining automated tests using frameworks like ScalaTest or Specs2
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git or SVN
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
