Job Description: The CAD Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining computer-aided design (CAD) software for our company. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and design teams to understand their needs and create customized CAD tools to enhance their workflow. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and providing technical support for CAD software-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CAD software applications using programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to gather requirements and design custom CAD tools to optimize their processes
- Troubleshoot and debug CAD software issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operations
- Conduct regular testing and quality assurance of CAD software to ensure it meets company standards
- Stay updated on the latest CAD software developments and trends, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Document all CAD software development processes and procedures for future reference
- Provide technical support and training to users on CAD software, ensuring they are proficient in using the tools
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate CAD software with other systems and applications
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members to improve code quality and maintainability
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve CAD software performance and functionality, and implement necessary changes to achieve these goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD software development
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java
- In-depth knowledge of CAD software development principles and techniques
- Experience with CAD software testing and quality assurance
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and design software is a plus
