Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $171000 - $208000
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our products and services. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions that meet our business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain backend systems for our products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code using industry best practices.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing backend systems to ensure high performance and stability.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality of our software.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our backend systems.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages, such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring, Django, or Express.
- Solid understanding of databases, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Experience with cloud computing services, such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
