Job Title: Senior Azure Data Architect

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $228000 - $256000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Azure Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Azure Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end data architecture, from data modeling and storage to data integration and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their business needs and design appropriate data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies
• Develop data architecture blueprints, data models, and data flow diagrams to guide the implementation of data solutions
• Design and implement data storage solutions, including relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and data warehouses
• Implement data integration processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other ETL tools
• Lead the development of data pipelines to move data from source systems to the data lake and data warehouse
• Design and implement data security and data governance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and developers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Azure data technologies and make recommendations for their implementation in our projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on Microsoft Azure cloud technology
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data services
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Advanced certifications in Azure data technologies (e.g. DP-201 Designing an Azure Data Solution) is a plus
