Job Title: Junior Backend API Developer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $68 Per hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Backend API Developer to join our growing team. As a Junior Backend API Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining APIs for our web and mobile applications. This role requires a strong understanding of backend development, APIs, and database management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for coding and a desire to grow and learn within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs for our web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and debug existing API code
- Optimize API performance and scalability
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to backend development and APIs
- Continuously learn and improve skills to contribute to the growth of the team and the company
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 1-2 years of professional experience in backend development and API design
- Strong understanding of web development concepts and languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, etc.
- Experience with API development and integration using REST, SOAP, or GraphQL
- Familiarity with database management and SQL
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
