Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $92 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Developer to join our dynamic team. As a GCP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications and services on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your primary focus will be to design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure solutions that meet the business requirements and adhere to industry best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy applications and services on GCP to meet business requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
• Develop technical specifications and design documentation
• Implement and maintain GCP infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security services
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in GCP-supported languages
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure all code and infrastructure changes are properly tested and deployed
• Continuously monitor and improve the performance and reliability of GCP applications
• Stay up-to-date with GCP services, features, and updates and make recommendations for their adoption
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Mentor and coach junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other teams to ensure smooth and seamless integration of GCP applications into the development and deployment processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience in GCP development
• Strong understanding of GCP architecture and services, such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions
• Proficient in GCP-supported languages, such as Java, Python, and Node.js
• Experience with building and deploying microservices on GCP
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD processes, tools, and best practices
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls on GCP
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• GCP certifications, such as GCP Professional Cloud Developer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect, are a plus
