Salary: $100 Per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Oracle Database Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's Oracle database systems. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and security of our database environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of our Oracle databases
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
• Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching as needed
• Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and improve database performance
• Work with infrastructure team to ensure proper storage allocation and optimization
• Perform database capacity planning and forecasting
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Oracle database technology
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Engineer
• Proficient in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate
• Familiarity with database security best practices
• Hands-on experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Oracle certifications (e.g. OCA, OCP) are a plus
