Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cobol Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cobol development and possess a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. As a Cobol Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining Cobol applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Cobol applications
• Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to gather and analyze requirements
• Write efficient and optimized code using Cobol programming language
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in existing code and provide timely resolutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all developed applications
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in software design meetings and provide inputs to improve overall system architecture
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Cobol development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cobol development
• Strong understanding of Cobol programming language and its best practices
• Experience working with IBM mainframe systems and tools
• In-depth knowledge of database management systems, preferably DB2
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
