Job Title: Senior Cloud Network Architect

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $123 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Network Architect to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Cloud Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex cloud-based network solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, cloud infrastructure, and security protocols, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions in a cloud environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop network architecture that aligns with our strategic goals.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance network performance and efficiency.
• Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud networking, and share knowledge and best practices with the team.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers, promoting professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network architecture and design, with at least 3 years in a cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, including virtual private clouds, subnets, routing tables, and security groups.
• Extensive experience with AWS or Azure, including VPC, Direct Connect, and VPN connectivity.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and SD-WAN.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing high-availability network solutions.
• Experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
