Position: Senior Spark Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $190000 - $224000
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Spark Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Spark Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems using Apache Spark.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient and scalable Spark applications to process large data sets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and analyze business requirements
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and storage
- Optimize Spark jobs for performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments
- Mentor and guide junior developers in Spark development best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with at least 3 years of experience in Spark development
- Strong expertise in Apache Spark and its core components (Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, etc.)
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Hive, and Kafka
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment
