Job Title: Sybase Data Architect

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $100 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sybase Data Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Sybase Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Sybase database systems. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure that our database systems meet the needs of our organization and its clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database design principles, as well as experience with Sybase databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Sybase database systems to meet the needs of the organization and its clients
• Collaborate with development teams to understand database requirements and create efficient database structures
• Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and other documentation related to Sybase databases
• Optimize database performance by creating and implementing efficient indexing strategies
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Work with other team members to ensure data security and integrity
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for Sybase databases
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Sybase database technologies
• Train and mentor other team members on Sybase database best practices
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Sybase databases
• Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with Sybase replication and high availability solutions
• Proficiency in SQL and other database query languages
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot database issues
• Knowledge of database security best practices
• Experience with data migration and ETL processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with other database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL is a plus
