Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $107 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a VMware Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our VMware cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of our cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware technologies, a passion for automation, and a drive to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain our VMware cloud infrastructure to meet the needs of our business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that align with our business goals.
• Automate processes and tasks to improve efficiency and scalability of our cloud environment.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in VMware technologies to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our cloud environment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for our VMware cloud infrastructure.
• Work closely with vendors and service providers to ensure our cloud infrastructure meets our service level agreements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing VMware cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in a cloud environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• VMware certifications, such as VCP or VCAP, are a plus.
