Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

Salary: $107 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our company's data infrastructure. You will also be responsible for leading a team of data engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain our company's data infrastructure, including data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses.
• Lead a team of data engineers to develop, test, and deploy data solutions that meet business requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and product managers, to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Develop and implement data governance and security policies to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
• Identify and implement new technologies and tools to improve data processing, storage, and access.
• Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and promote a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and develop data models to support business needs.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing data validation processes and monitoring data pipelines.
• Act as a subject matter expert on data engineering best practices and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering and make recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of data engineering concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong experience with SQL, ETL tools, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Proficient in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
• Proven experience in leading a team and managing complex data engineering projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools is a plus.
