Salary: $135 Per hour

We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. As the Principal Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical content that effectively communicates complex information to our target audience. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, writing skills, and project management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of technical writers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand product features
• Own the end-to-end process of creating technical documentation, from research and planning to writing, editing, and publishing
• Develop and maintain documentation standards and guidelines, and ensure all documentation is consistent and adheres to company branding and style guidelines
• Create and maintain a documentation roadmap, prioritizing projects and managing timelines to ensure timely delivery of documentation updates
• Review and edit technical content created by other writers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Implement feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and usability testing to improve the effectiveness of documentation
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and apply them to continuously improve our documentation processes and techniques

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical writing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to explain them clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Experience with technical writing tools and software such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or RoboHelp
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices
• Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
